This program allows you to use multiple clipboards with standard applications for the Macintosh® and allows you to print the clipboard, save it to a text or PICT file, and read a text or PICT file directly into the clipboard. ClipClop gives you detailed size and type information about any object that is copied to the clipboard.
The program also provides an improved, integrated version of the Scrapbook, with features for creating, saving, and reading multiple custom scrapbook files in addition to the standard System Scrapbook file.
With ClipClop you can:

• Improve your use of limited memory when copying
between different applications.
• Quickly and easily exchange picture and text data among
programs, the clipboard, and disk files.
INSTALLATION & REQUIREMENTS:
To start ∏° ClipClop, simply double-click on the program icon. This program requires System 6 with MultiFinder or System 7.
This package conatains a file named, “ClipClop 1.1 Addenda.” This file describes the changes from version 1.0.1 to the current version. A complete manual describing the basic version 1.0.1 is available when you register. (See below.)
The initial memory size is 275K, but more is recommended if you will be opening large scrapbook files or if you will be copying many large items to the clipboard(s). The program will run in as little as 125K if you have a very small scrapbook file and you will not be copying much to the clipboard(s). To change the memory size, first make sure you have quit from the program, then select the program icon by clicking on it once. Choose “Get Info” from the Finder’s (or MultiFinder’s) File menu, and type the new memory size into the box at the bottom of the “Get Info” window. Close the “Get Info” window, and you’re ready to continue using ClipClop!
∏° ClipClop is an ordinary Macintosh application—it is not an INIT (startup document) or Control Panel document, and it does not patch traps, require special installation, or otherwise mess with your system. It accomplishes all of its operations involving the clipboard through standard programming techniques for Macintosh applications.
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS:
Complete instructions are available in the user manual. The following should be enough to get you started. Go ahead and experiment with the various features to learn how they work.
• When you first start ClipClop, you will see a screen that presents some information about the program. After a few seconds, you will be able to click the OK button and proceed to use the program.
Note: You will see this screen every time you start ClipClop until you register your copy and receive a registration code. See below for registration form.
• ClipClop starts off by opening a window for the System scrapbook file and a window for the current contents of the clipboard.
• Clipboard operation: Switch between ClipClop and other application programs in the usual ways, by clicking on an application’s window or by choosing the small icon in the upper right corner of the menu bar. You may open more than one clipboard window in ClipClop. Whichever clipboard window is closest to the front when you switch out of ClipClop, that is the clipboard that will be used by the other applications. If the “Create new clipboard if changed” checkbox in the Set Preferences dialog is checked, then a new clipboard window will be opened whenever you switch back to ClipClop, as long as the clipboard contents have changed. Try it and see how it works!
• NOTE: A new clipboard will only be created when you switch to ClipClop.
• You may save a clipboard window as a file. If you open a text or PICT file, it will appear in a new clipboard window.
• Scrapbook operation: The left side of the scrapbook window has small, “thumbnail” pictures of everything contained in the scrapbook file. Click on one of these thumbnail pictures to get a full-sized picture in the right side of the window. Use the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands in the Edit menu to move objects from a scrapbook file to the clipboard. You may create a custom scrapbook by using the “New Scrapbook” command from the File menu, and then saving the scrapbook as an ordinary Macintosh file wherever you want.
REGISTRATION & DISTRIBUTION:
∏° ClipClop is shareware. This means that it is copyrighted software that may be used and distributed only in accordance with the terms described in this document.
1) You may use ∏° ClipClop for a two week trial period after you first install it on your computer.
2) If you wish to use the program after the two week trial period, you must register your copy by sending a license fee of $14 to Pi Zero Software, P.O. Box 8106, Berkeley, CA 94707. As a licensed user, you will receive a written manual and a registration code to convert your copy to a registered copy. (PLEASE INCLUDE THE INFORMATION IN THE REGISTRATION FORM appearing at the bottom of this document.)
3) Once you have sent in your registration fee, you may continue to use your evaluation copy. If you don't register, but keep on using your demo copy, then you are cheating, and you should feel bad about it.
4) The ∏° ClipClop program together with its accompanying Read Me and Addenda files may be freely distributed, as long as no charge is made for the software. The three files must be distributed together as a package. User groups and other non-profit organizations may charge a nominal fee for duplication and/or floppy disks.
